Program Description:

In this study center program, students will learn about Middle Eastern politics, shifting power configurations, and efforts to promote peace and global security. Coursework also includes learning the area's native language, Arabic. In addition to their coursework, students will partake in either an independent study project or an internship with a community organization. The program-sponsored excursions will take students to other areas of Jordan or to neighboring countries in the region to provide comparative lens for learning. As a required piece of this program, students will live in West Amman with a host family and immerse themselves in the day-to-day life of a typical Arab home.
