Program Description:

Students who apply to study abroad in China are strongly advised to have a backup plan. Please feel free to discuss your plans with a study abroad advisor. 

This study center program is designed to build Chinese language fluency through 20 hours per week of Chinese language courses, living with a local Chinese roommate, and a full-time Chinese language pledge. The program accommodates Chinese learners at all levels, and faculty build supportive classroom cultures to lead every student to success. In this total Chinese immersion in Beijing, students visit historical sites and global headquarters, follow the politics, absorb the culture, and improve their Chinese, ultimately opening doors for anyone pursuing a career that involves China. Organized activities in Beijing and excursions to other Chinese cities provide opportunities for peers to explore China together.
