Program Description:

IHP is an international Honors Programs within SIT, and on this program you will compare strategies of health and community across four radically different country contexts (Washington, D.C., Delhi, India, Cape Town, South Africa and Buenos Aires, Argentina) and at global and local scale. Furthermore, strengthening your ability to understand, interpret, and compare the socio-cultural, ecological, economic, political, and biological factors that affect human health. From grassroots activism to top-down approaches and the differing cultural understanding of health and well-being you will explore health realities at individual and population levels. Students are required to live with a host family in a homestay between two and four weeks at each program site, with the exception of the first location.
