About SLU-Madrid:
Students directly enroll in classes at the Saint Louis University European Campus (SLU-Madrid) located in Madrid, Spain. The campus is in a quiet residential neighborhood, (near el Guzman el Bueno Metro stop) 20 minutes from the city center. It is a small campus with a cafeteria, student lounge, STEM labs, dance and art studios, as well as a bookstore and a library. Most classes are taught in English, however there are Spanish language and Spanish content courses available. SLU-Madrid offers over 200 courses each semester which fulfill degree requirements for nearly 100 undergraduate majors. There are approximately 750 students enrolled at the university, of which half are from the United States and a quarter from Spain. The housing offered by SLU-Madrid is a homestay with breakfast and dinner included. Students are encouraged to meet locals by participating in student clubs, joining sports teams, and volunteering within the community.
Please note that it is student's responsibility to complete and submit visa applications within the appropriate processing timeframe. Visa applications submitted late may not be processed before the start of the program, and may impact students ability to study abroad. Students that choose to submit their Spanish visa applications independently must account for BLS Visa processing times: Once the visa application is received and marked as complete by the BLS office, the period to receive a visa decision is up to 2 months from the day following the registration of the application in the visa system, but this period may be extended if an interview or additional documents.

For this program, students are required to live in SLU-sponsored housing. SLU offers housing with host families (homestays) only. Independent Housing will only be considered if the student meets one of the exception criteria as outlined in the
